I wonder what Milly is thinking?..
I do know that she loves to read stories from her favourite
Beatrix Potter
books...
in a quiet corner of the tearoom...
and she's very curious about her new Mary Jane shoes and lacy socks...
...but I think she likes them.. ..
She loves the pretty pink ric rac on her best dress....
...a very special dress as it has been made from her favourite
fabric....
and the little sweetheart fastenings on her shoes...
She has decorated her hair with a blue spotty ribbon today...
Milly's favourite story ?
The Tale of Mrs.Tiggy-Winkle
which she has read several times now...
...but there are so many more books to choose from here...
...it can often be such a difficult decision to make...
...but always lovely to spend a sunny afternoon in
Mary Jane's TEAROOM

About Milly....
Milly has been made using traditional Waldorf doll making techniques
and it has been lovely to combine both knitting and sewing skills in one project.
She has been stuffed using traditional wool batting,
has wooden button joints and wherever possible all materials are organic.
Her hair was made using mohair yarn
and I have designed her clothes in vintage style.
I hope to have more dolls for sale later in the year.

Oh Susan, how sweet is she? I think you and I have some kind of telepathic link even we dont know about. I had a root around last week for rag doll pattern I had a feeling I might have still had from 20 yrs ago. I was really chuffed when I found it. It had my maiden name written on the front and a stamp from when I ordered it from a fabric shop I am quite nostalgic about. Mine is quite different to yours but nonetheless I had a ragdoll whim. How strange

ReplyDeleteSusan she is beautiful! Her hair is just perfect and what gorgeous blue eyes. Now, if she had a dress with [possibly pale blue, pink green and coffee spots on she would be perfect in my craft room!
