~♥ Our new Facebook Header ♥~
I was totally unaware that there were going to be any changes to the Facebook pages...
and it threw me into a bit of a tizzy last week but after a few trials I feel happy with our new header.
On the actual page there is a little inset of Candy too.
The really good news here is that at last I'm finally liking Facebook!
I love the new timeline and there is far more scope to personalise the page....
which means that we're all very happy in our little corner now!
(Ooh...and yes, I would really love to see you too!)
~♥ ♥ ♥~
♥ Finally, a little bit of cupcake heaven...
(just to complete my overall feeling of happiness!)
I've been baking our favourite cupcakes from
The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook
Baking has become a bit of a ritual in our house these days
and I think maybe a bit of fresh inspiration is needed...
any recommendations of lovely recipe books
would be very much appreciated!
~♥~
Thanks so much for calling by...
Take care until next time
Such gorgeous colours today....and I'm a big fan of The Hummingbird cookbook as well.

Mmmm delicious cupcakes. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely spring colours too!
Your new Facebook header is lovely Susan. I'm afraid I still haven't a clue about Facebook. As I have a 'page' and not a personal Facebook what I can do is limited. As for a new header, I'm going to leave that to my son!!

I just wanted to stop by and tell you I adore your blog. I could sit and stare at all the beautiful colours for hours. It truly is amazing, thankyou so much for sharing. The beautiful spring colours make me smile.
ReplyDeleteI will have to go check out your Facebook page. I spend a fair bit of time over there. Pretty pictures today! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that pink and yellow inspiration Susan...I think I may make a card in that colour way soon. Your cakes look soooo yummy! I am not sure about the timeline on Facebook, I agree for business peeps it is good but for individuals I still prefer the old style. Mind you the only certain thing in life is change so no doubt at some point I will have to change over ;0) Have a great week and thanks as always for your visits to my blog, it's always good to see you there,

Your cupcakes look so pretty Susan... I haven't done any baking in so long now, probably months! I miss it... and your beautiful pictures are making me long for a free afternoon of sunshine and pottering about the kitchen. Horrible grey and wet here today though and also have too many orders to sew! Anyway, glad you have sorted out your fb page - I swapped mine but not really done too much else apart from put a header picture in! Yours looks so sweet... have a lovely rest of the week, Jenny x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures as always, love the buns, could do with a few of these today! hope you are having a happy week :)

Lovely spring colours in this post. I am still a bit green when it comes to facebook. I try now and again but it doesn't come easy.
ReplyDeleteThe baking, I am totally with you on that one. My current favourite baking book is this one detailed in this post http://perfectlittlepurses.blogspot.com/2012/01/good-cake-book-to-tell-you-about-and.html
Still enjoying it a lot.
Baking can be so therapeutic, I think it harks back to simpler times. I've got quite a few Marks and Spencer baking books and also the Australian Woman's Weekly books are really good.
ReplyDeleteHi dear Susan! Your photos are so gorgeous!!! I love the pink and lemon inspiration! Very cheerful and sweet! Your new Facebook header is beautiful too! Oh, your cupcakes look so yummy! I love to bake! Have a beautiful evening! xo~ Paula
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely selection of photos..
ReplyDeletePink and lemon really is such a cute color combination. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWHAT ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PHOTOS! Dearest, your page here is so happy and beautiful!!! My Etsy shop is almost empty, thanks to some sales that I made, and seeing your lovely blog here reminds me that when I get a moment I need to fill up my shop again, for I am loving these happy colors! I teach and in fact, tonight I worked until 7:30, so I am barely getting to my blog. THANK YOU for your visit and very kind words. HAVE A GREAT FRIDAY!!!! Anita
ReplyDeleteAs every other person has said, your blog is soooo pretty to look at, what cheery spring colours. I love French fancies, one of my absolute favourites, but then cake is probably passable in pretty much any form.
ReplyDeleteI have the hummingbird books, and I have shelves of cook books (I love cooking and eating!) it can be hard to find something totally different though. I am a big nigella fan, and I also love Mary Berry, have you looked at Apples for Jam' that's a different take on the norm, although the ordering of the book (done in colours) is a little odd.
Have a lovely weekend.x
Dear Susan,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry I haven't taken the time to visit your little corner of heaven this week. I have needed to take a step away from the computer screen these days or else I will be too tired to get on with the projects I need to complete!
What a joy! I just bought a handful of Gutermann spools this week in some pastel shades. Your zingy yellows and pinks make me want to break out in a little dance. Fondant Fancies... perhaps I shouldn't say this but I am reminded of teenage years and eating Kipling's Fondant Fancies. It's like Battenburg cake: the colours and the almond flavour just make me go all gooey.
Speaking of Battenburg cake; Fiona Cairns' recipe books are drop dead gorgeous. I'm serious Susan; the cakes are generally quite straightforward and her decorating ideas are so very, very pretty. She has a few delights including a new one on birthday cakes. My favourite at present is Bake & Decorate. Otherwise The Primrose Hill Cupcake Book is pretty good too.
