Sunshine on my pillow...

...it's been so warm in our corner over recent days and the sun
has certainly shone brightly over my workroom
...I've ended up happy with my unplanned cushion...

I enjoyed just making decisions as I worked...
(and it feels good to make something again from yarn that's too beautiful to leave in a basket)

starting off with just a little daisy flower...

which then became a square... then more daisy squares...

the back relied on the yarn leftovers
(and the little yellow daisy in the centre marks the arrival of our
little puppy Miss Daisy who I introduced a few posts ago...)

One side has an opening with clear fasteners on the inside
(because I know otherwise I'll regret not doing it when the day I need to wash it  arrives :-) )

and it's hidden behind the border
which is just small...simple...pretty

...and now...
I have the excuse to buy some new yarn
and make another one...in different colours...
... I'm off to do some shopping ... :-)

...happy weekend all...

...back soon...

  4. Hello Susan - what a truly lovely cushion you have made, and in such beautiful colours. I had never really crochet before, always knitting or sewing, but seeing the lovely things you have made gave me enthusiasm to try - so I taught myself to crochet a year and a half ago, and have never looked back!
I hope you enjoyed your shopping trip and bought more beautiful yarn!
    Have a wonderful weekend!
