'Little Yarn Dolls' knitting pattern...


Little Yarn Dolls
from
Mary Jane's TEAROOM





..DK yarn...
...3mm knitting needles...
basic knitting stitches...worked 'in the round'
...minimal sewing...
...doll body is stuffed as you knit...
(and it really does feel magical to have a doll appearing 
fully formed on your needles as you work x)
(these little dolls just had to be made in pretty pastel shades)

♥
seamless doll hat and frilly dolly skirt
(skirt stays in place without sewing and could be made 
in lots of different colours for quick changes)
...3 different dolls included for shade ideas...
...very easy and quick to apply hair..
as always I took the photographs
as I made the dolls in my workroom...
(there are lots within the pattern!)

...and while taking my photographs and looking closely through the lens...
I often thought how handmade dolls definitely capture a touch of magic...all so unique... ♥

    Hello Susan - how absolutely beautiful your little dolls are - and I know of just the little girl who would love to have a wonderful new friend........!
    It always give me such pleasure to read your posts - you manage every time to inspire and encourage me in my knitting and crochet. I'm never far away from needles or hooks of one kind or another, so it's brilliant to be able to see all your wonderful designs! I have just the binding to sew on to my latest quilt, and after that - well, it looks like some knitting, or crochet, or.........

    Hello Susan. Been following your blog for about 4 years and just getting internet-savvy enough to comment :) I caught the knitting bug years ago when I found Jean Greenhowe's (do you know of her) doll patterns and knitted almost every one. Stopped knitting for a while then found your lovely website and felt like I was in knitting heaven :) I've completed the nordic-type rabbit and 2 tearoom dolls so far. Just wanted to ask if the little yarn dolls will be available to knit 'normally', as 'in the round' is too daunting a task for me and I'd have to spend hours learning how to do it! Your blog is a ray of sunshine and thanks for working so hard to provide all your distinctive patterns. Am having difficulty posting a comment so hope this works!

When I first saw the Tearoom dolls I thought you'd possibly created the best knitted dolls ever :) but the yarn dolls just may be cuter. Want to say too that the price of your downloadable patterns is a real bargain considering the quality of your work :)
