Yarn winding week...

(through the looking glass)

I've been busy this week mostly winding yarn...lots of yarn!...
1... for my current knitting project...
2... for the Christmas Making giveaway (starting next week)...
3... for Tearoom Doll kits...
(my yarn swift and winder have definitely got to be the
the most used things in my workroom these days ;-) )

(* and for anyone who has inquired about doll kits they will be available here on the blog
just as soon as I've put them all together ... hopefully within the next week x)

I've also been brightening up (and tidying up!) my workroom
and have finally painted the little drawers pictured up there too...
they've been sitting on my shelves waiting to be smartened up for
far too long and are now a pretty pale cobalt blue shade ...
(and at last my embroidery threads will be organised!)

and so...

I'll be back next week with news of the
Christmas Making Giveaway
...along with other things...

(back to the yarn winding now.....and lots of tea  ;-) )

x x

P.S  I've also started a new crochet project using my Paintbox yarn
...the shades are so so pretty and I'm looking forward to showing you soon

  11. Hello Susan - you have some lovely yarn colours there! So pretty - I thought the blue self-patterning yarn in your last post was so gorgeous, too! What brand is that - I haven't seen colour like that before! Always look forward to your new patterns and projects, and your wool wider must be worth it's weight in gold by now!
    Have a gorgeous week!

    1. Hi Lynda...the yarn in the last post is Cascade Heritage yarn...I can't remember the exact details right now as I've been using many different ones in the last couple of weeks but have the details saved and will definitely let you know about all the ones I've used for that project ;-) ♥ Happy Sunday xx

  19. Always so beautiful! I've toyed with buying a ball winder for a few years, but then I've started reading reviews and drawn a blank. I have a swift which my Dad made for me...thankfully I had mark2 which had its own bearings...my mum had mark1 which needed to be put on a whirly chair....makes me laugh out loud still when I think about it :-)
